Crazy transfer deadline

So finally Man Utd got their man but the biggest shock was the goings on at Man City. First was the stunning takeover of the club by the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), more about them here and here. This article looks at Thaksin Shinawatra’s time at City.

The excitement was not finished however as City did what no other club has done and that is outbid Chelsea for Robinho in a British record offer of £34.2 million.

Utd did sign Bervatov but the whole affair has left a lot of people unimpressed.

One transfer that has not attracted a lot of attention is that of Kerlon ‘The Seal’ who has joined newly promoted Serie A side Chievo.
